A Modest Size, Regional Greenhouse.

closed window and wall covered with green leaves

About

Larch Hill is a modest size, regional greenhouse devoted to the culture, growing, occasional breeding and exhibiting of orchids throughout New England at the various orchid society shows. Until recently, the greenhouse has been a wholesale grower supplying a variety of retail outlets. We have for many years presented clinics on orchids at Hadley Gardens in Hadley, Massachusetts and elsewhere.

Details

Many people have asked if the greenhouse was open to the public and thus I have come to set aside Saturdays, by appointment, for those who wish to visit. Many of the orchids are for a one of a kind collection and are not for sale unless divisions are available
Why by appointment? This allows me to give undivided attention to the visitor answering questions and exploring the many types of orchids in the Larch Hill Greenhouse.
Bill has been working with orchids since 1951 and is the first to admit that he is still learning. He graduated from Stockbridge School of Agriculture in Floriculture/Horticulture. He then completed degrees in biology and microbiology at Clark University in Worcester. MA. He has a doctorate in Botany from the University of MA at Amherst.
